Examination Rules
The Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education (UBTE) in Roorkee sets the rules and regulations for conducting technical education diploma examinations at G.G.P, Almora. These rules are designed to ensure the integrity and fairness of the examination process, and to ensure that all students have an equal opportunity to succeed. Some of the key examination rules set by the UBTE include:

Eligibility: Students must meet all eligibility requirements set by the UBTE in order to be able to appear for the examination. This includes passing all required coursework and completing the required number of practical and theory classes.We are strict about the board’s rule regarding student’s attendance. “Students should have minimum 80% attendance in their classes for
appearing in the board semester exams.” Prior to each board semester examination, every student has to appear in two class tests and a Mid-term examination. The sessional marks to the students are awarded based on the best of two tests’ performance. -
Admit Card: Students must bring a valid admit card issued by the UBTE on the day of the examination. The admit card will contain the student’s personal details, photograph, examination schedule and other important information.

Examination Schedule: Examinations are usually held twice a year, once in the summer and once in the winter. The exact dates and schedule of the examination are determined by the UBTE and are usually announced well in advance.

Examination Centers: Examinations are usually conducted at designated examination centers in the state. The UBTE assigns students to a center based on their residence and other factors.

Code of Conduct: Students are expected to follow a strict code of conduct during the examination. This includes not bringing prohibited items into the examination hall, not cheating or collaborating with other students, and not disrupting the examination process in any way.

Evaluation and Grading: The UBTE evaluates the examination papers and assigns a grade to each student based on their performance. The grading system is usually based on a percentage system, with passing marks typically set at around 40%.

Re-examination: If a student is unable to pass an examination, they may be allowed to retake the examination at a later date, subject to certain conditions and restrictions set by the UBTE.

Appeal: If a student is not satisfied with their grade or the evaluation of their examination paper, they may be able to file an appeal with the UBTE. The appeal must be filed within a specified time frame and must be supported by relevant evidence.

Every bonafide student can obtain the Institute Library membership. The students are issued borrower’s cards for issue and return of books. The borrowers’ cards are issued to every student on applying through a prescribed form which is to be recommended by Head of Department / Department In charge. The norms for the issuance of books/journal are as follows.
BOOK BANK RULES
Book Bank’s membership form and Borrower’s card may be obtained from the Library. The form is to be submitted to Library after the recommendation of Head of Department / Department In charge. Maximum four books are issued at a time under the Book Bank scheme.
Loss of Books
In case of loss or damage caused to the issued books, the student will be required cost of the books
